Ayurvedic Aortic Valve Stenosis Treatment
Aortic valve stenosis, also known as aortic stenosis, is a condition in which the aortic valve of the heart is narrowed. The valve is unable to open fully, which reduces or entirely blocks the blood flow from heart to the main artery of the entire body (aorta), and the flow towards the rest of the body. The symptoms of this condition are- abnormal heart sound, chest pain, dizziness, shortness of breath, palpitations, etc. The causes of aortic valve stenosis are- congenital heart defects, calcium buildup on the valve, rheumatic fever, heart infections, chronic kidney disease, etc.
Arrhythmia Treatment
Arrhythmia is a heart condition in which a person experiences irregular heartbeat. These heart rhythm problems occur when the electric signals that co-ordinate with the heart beats do not work properly. The faulty signals either cause the heart to beat too fast (tachycardia) or to beat too slow (bradycardia) or completely irregular. Symptoms of this condition include: chest pain, shortness of breath, fluttering in chest, sweating, anxiety, fatigue, etc. The causes of arrhythmia are- heart attack, blocked arteries, diabetes, high blood pressure, hyperthyroidism, hypothyroidism, sleep apnea, drug abuse, etc.
Atherosclerosis
Atherosclerosis is a type of arteriosclerosis in which fats, cholesterol and other substances builds-up in the artery walls. This build-up is known as plaque, which causes narrowing of arteries and blocks the blood flow. This can also turn into a blood clot after the plaque is burst. This condition can be caused anywhere in the arteries of the body, and can be treated. The symptoms of this condition are- chest pain and pressure; numbness and weakness in arms or legs; difficulty in speaking; temporary loss of vision; high blood pressure; kidney failure; etc. Atherosclerosis is caused due to high blood pressure, high cholesterol, high triglycerides, inflammation, obesity, diabetes, etc.
Cardiomyopathy
Cardiomyopathy is a condition in which it becomes difficult for heart muscles to pump blood to the rest of the body. If the condition is chronic, it leads to heart failure. Symptoms of cardiomyopathy are shortness of breath, bloating, fatigue cough while lying down, palpitations, chest pain, dizziness, etc. The causes of cardiomyopathy are chronic high blood pressure, problems with heart valves, metabolic disorders, lack of essential vitamins, pregnancy complications, connective tissue disorder, excessive intake of alcohol, etc.
Congenital Heart Disease
Congenital heart disease is a condition or group of conditions with the structure of the heart that exists from birth. Congenital it-self means that a person is born with that condition. Some conditions can be mild, while some can be complex and can be life threatening. The symptoms of these conditions are- irregular heartbeats, blue skin, lips and fingernails; shortness of breath, swelling in body tissues or organs, fatigues, etc.
‘Douhruda Apacharaja Vyadhis’ is the term for congenital heart disease in ayurvedic text. It is manifested due to imbalance in Vata dosha, as Vata dosha is responsible for all garbha vikrutis. This vitiation affects the heart walls, the heart valves, and the blood vessels. It is categorized under hirdaya roga of ayurveda that links with the defects of heart.
Congestive heart failure
Congestive heart failure, also known as heart failure, is a condition that occurs when the heart muscle is unable to pump blood adequately. When this is the condition, the blood backs up and fluid can build up in lungs, which causes shortness of breath. The symptoms associated with this condition are- fatigue, weakness, swelling in legs, ankle and feet; rapid heartbeat, swelling in abdomen, rapid weight gain, nausea, lack of appetite, etc. The causes of heart failure are coronary artery disease, hypertension, faulty heart valves, heart muscle failure, myocarditis, etc.‘Douhruda Apacharaja Vyadhis’ is the term for congenital heart disease in ayurvedic text. Coronary Artery Disease
Coronary artery disease, also known as coronary heart disease, ischemic heart disease or heart disease; is a condition in which there is build-up of fatty material, called plaque in the arteries which supply oxygen rich blood to the heart. The plaque causes narrowing and blockages of the arteries that may result in heart attack. The symptoms of this condition are nausea, dizziness, weakness, tiredness, discomfort and pain in shoulders, neck, abdomen, and back; unexplained anxiety, cold sweat, angina, etc. The causes of coronary artery diseases are smoking, high blood pressure, high cholesterol, diabetes and sedentary lifestyle.
Dyslipidemia
Dyslipidemia is a condition in which there are abnormal levels of blood lipids that can be either high or low. This condition may include any abnormality in parameters like LDL cholesterol levels, HDL cholesterol levels, triglycerides, or combinations of these lipids. The causes of dyslipidemia are genetics, high/low fat & high sugar diet, liver disease, excessive consumption of alcohol, smoking, intake of certain medications like oral contraceptives, antidepressants, etc.
Heart Valve Regurgitation
Heart valve regurgitation, also known as valve insufficiency, is a condition in which the valve may not close properly and let blood through. This is known as leaky heart valve, which causes uncontrolled blood flow. Due to this leakage, sometimes enough blood is not being pumped to the rest of the body, and may force the heart to work harder. This condition may lead to sudden cardiac arrest, heart failure and death. The causes of regurgitation are enlargement of heart, congenital heart conditions, injury, trauma, mitral valve prolapse, pulmonary hypertension, enlarged aorta, etc.
High Blood Pressure
Hypertension, also known as high blood pressure, is a common condition in which the force of blood against the artery walls is high enough that may eventually cause health issues like heart diseases. Blood pressure is determined by the amount of blood the heart pumps and amount of resistance to flow of blood in arteries. The blood pressure is raised when the arteries get narrower as the heart pumps more blood. The symptoms of hypertension are shortness of breath, headaches, nosebleeds, etc. If not treated, it may also lead to stroke, heart failure, metabolic syndrome and other such complications.
High Cholesterol
High amounts of cholesterol in the blood. High cholesterol can limit blood flow, increasing the risk of a heart attack or stroke. It's detected by a blood test. High cholesterol has no symptoms. Treatments include medication, a healthy diet and exercise.

Left Ventricular Dysfunction
Left ventricular dysfunction (LVD) is the condition in which there is narrowing of the blood vessels carrying oxygenated blood to the body and dilation of the left ventricle of the heart. Symptoms of LVD includes- fatigue, pain, depression, anxiety, reduced stamina, palpitations, loss of appetite, etc. The causes that lead to LVD are- cardiac defects like valvular malformations, diseases that block the passage of blood flow in the body, etc. These causes compel the left ventricle to work harder and pump blood faster to compensate for the lack of oxygen-rich blood in the body tissues and organs. This causes thickening of heart muscles, and tends to stretch the walls to accommodate more blood, leading to LVD.Unlike other treatment procedures that jump straight to symptom management, we address the root-cause of the disease. Pulmonary Arterial Hypertension
In Pulmonary Arterial Pulmonary Arterial Hypertension (PAH), the blood vessels in the lungs are narrowed, blocked and destroyed, which slows down the blood flow through lungs, and pressure in the arteries rises. This makes the heart work harder to pump the blood through the lungs, which causes the heart muscle to become weak and then fail. This condition can also become life-threatening in some cases. The symptoms of this condition are- cyanosis, chest pain, dizziness, palpitations, fatigue, shortness of breath, swelling in ankles, legs and abdomen. The causes of PAH are- genetics, usage of certain drugs, congenital heart disease, conditions like HIV, liver disease, connective tissue disorder, etc.
Detoxification
Almost all the diseases caused are due to accumulation of toxins in the body. These substances either enter the system from the environment or can be produced by the body itself as a waste product of metabolism. Thus, it becomes important to eliminate these harmful substances from the body and stop the manifestation of diseased conditions.
